Our Buenos Aires office provides local support for projects in the Argentinian market. Services are delivered by local lawyers (abogados) who work with Doniec Górecki & Partnerzy. We have been developing our Argentinian Desk since 2025.

BUENOS AIRES
Poland–Argentina Business Forum
In November 2025, we attended the Poland–Argentina Business Forum in Buenos Aires. The visit formed part of the development of our Argentinian Desk and cooperation between businesses from the two countries.
The forum was co-organised by the Embassy of Poland in Buenos Aires and the Polish Investment and Trade Agency. The programme combined discussions on investment conditions with sector-specific B2B meetings.
It covered financial, medical and space technologies, as well as agriculture, energy and mining. These are areas in which a business idea calls for due diligence on a partner, a carefully structured contract and knowledge of local regulations.

A changing environment
for trade and investment.
Easier market access
The SEDI advance import reporting system was abolished in February 2025. The PAIS tax also expired at the end of 22 December 2024. These changes reduce administrative barriers and certain charges; they do not remove customs duties, other taxes or product requirements.

RIGI: incentives for major projects
The RIGI regime offers tax, customs and foreign exchange incentives, together with 30 years of stability in these areas. It applies to approved large-scale investments in specified sectors, with thresholds starting at USD 200 million. It does not automatically cover every company entering Argentina.

Easier profit transfers
The BCRA has permitted access to the foreign exchange market to remit abroad profits reported in finalised, audited financial statements for financial years beginning on or after 1 January 2025. The conditions for each transfer still need to be checked; this is not a complete abolition of foreign exchange controls.
EU–Mercosur: new trading conditions
The EU–Mercosur trade agreement has been provisionally applied since 1 May 2026, including in relations with Argentina. Tariff reductions and the opening of access to public procurement have begun. The benefits depend on the product, the liberalisation timetable and compliance with the conditions for preferential treatment; not all tariffs disappear immediately.
